Summer fruit

I've been happily picking the first crop of my juicy tomatoes. Yes,once they start to change colour, I have to pick them before the cheeky birds find them and pick to their little hearts content.
Mind you, I don't mind sharing. It' just that this is the very first time I have successfully grown three largish tomato plants which have produced a heavy crop and i want my family and a few close friends to enjoy this goodness!

The three types are 1. Grosse Lisse
2. Roma
3. Beefsteak
I've found the grosse lisse and beefsteak varieties to be the heaviest croppers.

Caught in the sunshine!

I had just finished clearing my desk in my small studio/spareroom when whom should I catch a glimpse of when walking past the doorway?

My beautiful boule de neige.....Snowy!

He used to frequently nestle on the spare bed but obviously this new spot by the window allows him to see the world or doze off at his leisure in the streaming warm sunshine.

I do love my Snowy. But please note,I might have to move you soon to get some work done....

Travels abroad

As some of you might know, I've recently returned from travels to wintry England. I spent lovely family time with my wonderful daughter and spent other times travelling a little and trying to keep one step ahead of the freezing conditions!
Capturing unexpected sights of various gardens/plants in their winter beauty was a highlight of my little journey.
Herearesome of the treasures I was fortunate enough to be amongst before frost bite set in!
